gat init

Usage: gat init [OPTIONS]

Options:
      --no-hooks
          Ensure gat's Git hooks are absent (removing gat's managed
          `post-checkout`/`post-merge`/`post-rewrite` blocks if present) instead
          of ensuring them installed. The merge driver and attributes (unless
          `--no-merge-driver` is also passed) still converge to installed, and
          the local cache dir is still set up

      --no-merge-driver
          Ensure the `gat.lock` semantic merge driver is absent (removing the
          `merge.gat-lock.*` Git config and gat's managed `info/attributes`
          block if present) instead of ensuring it installed. Hooks (unless
          `--no-hooks` is also passed) and the local cache dir still converge to
          installed/set up

      --example-config
          Also write an example `gat.yaml` (every key commented out) if the
          project doesn't have one yet. An already-present `gat.yaml` is always
          left completely untouched; this only opts into creating a fresh one
          when none exists
